Audiology
An audiologist
diagnoses, treats, and manages individuals with hearing loss or balance
problems. The audiologist determines appropriate treatment based,
including dispensing and fitting hearing aids, on both a complete
history and a variety of specialized assessments. Audiologists also
refer patients to the Patients First ear, nose and throat physician
(otolaryngologist) when the hearing or balance problem requires
medical or surgical evaluation or treatment.
