Patients First Adds Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Physician to Growing List of Specialists

Dr. Adeel Khan to Start Practice on July 1, 2011

WASHINGTON, Mo., June 10, 2011 – Patients First Health Care is pleased to announce that Adeel I. Khan, MD, is joining the multi-specialty physician group in July, 2011. Dr. Khan will be located at the Patients First Washington Campus. Appointments are now being accepted by calling (636) 231-3695.

Dr. Khan specializes in respiratory ailments and sleep related diseases like sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy and restless leg syndrome. He is a specialist in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Khan provides consultative, diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with illnesses that affect the lungs and breathing including asthma, bronchitis, COPD, lung cancer, emphysema, sarcoidosis, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary hypertension, pleural diseases, pneumonia and tuberculosis, to name a few.

Dr. Khan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is ABIM certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He completed his fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. He is currently completing an additional fellowship in sleep medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated with honors from Dow Medical University, Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Khan completed his internship in internal medicine and general surgery at the Civil Hospital Karachi, and his internal medicine residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, New York.
