In the Community - Foundation
The mission of the Patients First Health Care Educational Foundation,
Inc. is to encourage and promote educational growth and development
with regard to health care and health care issues to the residents of
our various communities.
The Scholarship Program rewards students that have selected a career in
health care. The Foundation currently supports two different scholarship
programs; scholarships to college of choice for graduating high school
seniors, and East Central College nursing scholarships for individuals
that have been accepted into that program. Scholarships have been awarded
annually since 2004. Recipients are announced in late spring.
The Foundation also brings educational events to the communities served
by Patients First Health Care. Whether the program provides a general
awareness of a selected topic, or focuses on time-sensitive material, the
Foundation can provide resources to a geographic area that might not be
available otherwise.
Formed in 2003, The Patients First Health Care Educational
Foundation, Inc. is governed by a board of directors, comprised of
Patients First physicians and employees, and members of the
community.
The Foundation is registered in the state of Missouri as a
non-profit corporation organized to operate exclusively for
charitable, educational and scientific purposes within the meaning
of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1996.
